Discover Bikes have fully equipped workshops at our base at Summer Lake and our brand new store in Swindon. This enables us to take on almost any job, no matter how large or small – without compromises on the quality of the work. We've got 3 full time mechanics. This means that the wait times will always be kept to a minimum.

We pride ourselves on our attention to detail in the workshop – and do not compromise on the quality of our work, ever. All our mechanics are highly trained and fussy individuals and we are proud to be recognised as both aShimano Service Centreand aCampagnolo Pro Shop (one of only a handful in the country and the longest running of any!).

Standard Service – £59.00
Also known as a Tune up. This is the minimum required service for any bike. (Recommended every 3 – 6 months.)
Our Standard service includes…
- Brakes safety checked and realigned.
- Gears checked, indexed and lubricated.
- Cranks safety checked and tightened to correct torque.
- Headset and handlebar assembly safety checked and tightened to correct torque.
- Seat post removed, cleaned and refitted with fresh grease / carbon grip and tightened to correct torque.
- Tyres checked for wear / damage and inflated to recommended pressure.
- Recommendations noted for future work.
Standard Plus Service – £99.00
Our middle of the road, most popular, go to service. This service is needed for parts to be replaced or to remedy a single issue. (Recommended every 3 – 12 months.)
Our Standard Plus service includes…
- Everything from our Bronze service.
- Degreasing of chain and cassette in our bioremediating parts washer.
- Frame Inspection.
- Wheels tensioned and trued.
- Lubricate Chain and Cables
- Bottom Bracket inspection.
- Replacement of up to three standard parts (such as cassette, chain, chainrings).
- Firmware updates charged at an additional £20
Ultimate Service – £190.00
Also known as a full service. A full strip and rebuild of your bike, ideal for targeting creaks. The only service available if you have headset issues and your cables run through it! (Recommended every 12 months.)
Our Ultimate service includes…
- Everything from our Bronze and Silver services.
- Bike fully stripped, meticulously cleaned, inspected and rebuilt.
- True and tension of both wheels.
- Bleeding of brakes if applicable.
- Electronic diagnostics and firmware update if applicable.
- Servicing of bottom bracket, headset, front hub, rear hub and freehub body.

We cannot store bikes for long, bikes can only be dropped off at the beginning of the week they are scheduled to be worked on, or the Saturday before at the earliest.
We also asked that completed work is collected as promptly as possible and sadly have to charge a storage charge of £2.50 per day that the bike is with us after it’s agreed collection date.
